Dakota Commemorative March Song

Musician Dave Wilson wrote, played guitar, and arranged this song in honor of the Dakota women, children, and elders who were force-marched in 1862 to a concentration camp at Fort Snelling, before they were exiled from Minnesota. Marvin Weatherwax sang the Sitting Bull honor song with Gordon Bird, who also played the hand drum. Glen Blacksmith was the recording engineer.
